Meet Suresh Sinnugounder, Director, Construction, who joined Concert Properties in 2011.
How has your career evolved and led you to Concert Properties?
After completing my Bachelor of Engineering, I joined the Indian Army as a Commissioned Officer, Corps of Engineers, and served there for 18 years (six in combat-oriented roles and the rest in Real Estate Development for the Armed Forces). I immigrated to Canada in 2004 and started my career in construction with general contractors, but I always wanted to work for a developer. I joined Concert Properties as Project Manager in 2011.
What do you enjoy most about working here?
The utmost cooperation and working as a team within my department is what I enjoy the most.
What have you accomplished at Concert Properties that you are most proud of?
I have been part of completing many projects at Concert Properties: Motion (a rental residence at 570 Bay Street), 88 Scott (condominium and commercial) and the first two phases at The Kip District (two condominium and one rental buildings). Notably, the Kip District Tower 1 (29 stories and 282 suites) was completed in 26 months.
How have you advanced professionally since you’ve been with Concert Properties?
I started as a Project Manager, Construction and advanced to my current role as Director, Construction.

Tell us about your favourite memory at Concert Properties.
Volunteering at the Youth Without Shelter and the full day of engaging with and entertaining the youth is my favourite memory at Concert Properties.
When you’re not Suresh Sinnugounder, Director of Construction, what do you like to do?
When I am not Director, Construction, I have many things I am passionate about. Two of the most important things I do is play badminton and play the harmonica.
