Last summer, Concert acquired land for a multi-phase community in Etobicoke, now known as The Kip District. The site is near the western edge of the Etobicoke City Centre, just over one kilometer west of Concert’s Village Gate West master-planned community.
The Kip District will ultimately be Concert’s largest multi-phased residential development in the City of Toronto, and the company’s first residential condominium developments in Toronto’s west end. The community will be made up of 1,300 condominium homes within five buildings on a six acre site. The Kip District is situated less than five minutes by foot from Kipling Station, the western terminus of the TTC’s Bloor Subway line and the first GO Transit commuter rail stop on the westbound Milton line. This puts The Kip District an easy commute to the centre of downtown Toronto. In addition, this location affords quick vehicular access to Highway 427 to the west – with excellent connections to the 400-series highways serving the GTA.
As a master-planned community, The Kip District will be purposely and thoughtfully designed to include inviting gathering places and green spaces, a mix of appealing retailers, and amenities that surpass the typical standalone tower – within a neighbourhood that is emerging as the epicenter of growth in Etobicoke.
