On November 22, 2018, David Podmore was inducted into the Urban Development Institute’s (UDI) Hall of Fame during its annual Awards for Excellence gala at the Hyatt Regency Vancouver.
Podmore’s induction acknowledges his remarkable career, which has included leadership roles with Expo ’86, the Vancouver Convention Centre expansion, the bid for the 2010 Olympic Winter Games and the BC Place roof replacement project.
“All of us at Concert are proud of David,” says Brian McCauley, Concert President and CEO. “David has been a guiding light and inspiration for the entire team.”
The Concert co-founder, current Chair and Concert Infrastructure Chief Executive Officer, has been active in countless community initiatives and has served on many Boards. Podmore is also a recipient of the Order of British Columbia and the Queen Elizabeth Jubilee Medal.
In related news, Podmore was recently named as a 2019 inductee into the Business Laureates of BC Hall of Fame. David’s induction reflects a lifetime of achievement, success and contribution to society and the province of BC. His induction will occur at the 14th annual Gala Dinner and Induction Ceremonies on May 14, 2019 at the Fairmont Hotel in Vancouver.
