Concert Infrastructure, in conjunction with its project partners, has been shortlisted to participate in the next stage of the competitive selection process to build 18 new elementary schools in Saskatchewan through a design-build-finance-maintain (DBFM), public-private partnership (P3) procurement model.
Concert has joined the JUMP team which includes Bird Capital, Bird Construction, Wright Construction, Johnson Controls, GEC Architecture and Kindrachuk Agrey Architecture. Together, the partnership will submit a comprehensive Request for Proposal (RFP), along with the other two shortlisted groups for the DBFM contract pertaining to 18 elementary schools throughout a variety of communities – Martensville, Saskatoon, Warman and Regina. It is anticipated that a proponent will be selected by summer 2015 to allow construction to commence immediately thereafter and ultimately, allow project completion in advance of the fall 2017 school year.
Should Concert be selected, this project would leverage our recent experience building 12 schools across Alberta through a similar P3 procurement model entitled ASAP III. Click here for more information on the ASAP III project.
