Concert Infrastructure Fund Invests $100M CAD through OMERS Investment Management

Concert Infrastructure has made an investment of $100M CAD, through a contractual return arrangement with OMERS Investment Management. This investment provides Concert Infrastructure with an annual rate of return generated by the OMERS Primary Pension Plan assets that are managed by Borealis Infrastructure.

Already known within the Canadian infrastructure marketplace as a company that exercises flexibility in its investment approach, Concert Infrastructure has acted on this unique opportunity with OMERS Investment Management.

“This agreement is a truly unique transaction” said David Podmore, Concert Infrastructure’s Chairman & Chief Executive Officer. “It will provide our unit holders with an immediate and attractive income stream stemming from a portfolio of larger international infrastructure projects; assets they otherwise could not have invested in separately.”

Established in 2010, the Concert Infrastructure Fund is managed by Concert Infrastructure Ltd. and owned by 10 Canadian union and management pension funds. Today, the Fund holds investments and irrevocable commitments of $205M CAD. Concert Infrastructure remains primarily focused on direct investment in, and management of, Canadian infrastructure assets.
