Concert Infrastructure is proud to announce that it has completed the ASAP III public-private partnership (PPP) project to design, build, finance and maintain a total of 12 schools in eight of Alberta’s fastest-growing communities. After being initially awarded the project in September 2012, the schools were completed on-time and on-budget in advance of the upcoming 2014/2015 school year.
These 12 schools, which will accommodate up to 7,700 students, have been designed to the latest environmental sustainability standards of LEED Silver. In addition, these innovative new schools have made use of modular classrooms as well as specialty spaces intended for training in subjects such as dance, video production and cosmetology.
The project has a contract value of $288.8 million over a 30-year term. Concert holds a fifty percent share in the project company, ABC Schools Partnership, and is pleased to be partnered with HOCHTIEF PPP Solutions North America Inc.
Moving forward, Concert Infrastructure will continue furthering its mandate of pursuing social infrastructure PPP projects in order to deliver much-needed infrastructure on-time and on-budget in communities across Canada.
