Vancouver, BC, Canada – David Podmore, President and CEO, Concert Properties, has announced the appointment of Alan Whitchelo to Senior Vice President, Industrial & Commercial Properties, effective October 3, 2003. He is replacing Allan Gjernes who is retiring from Concert on December 31, 2003 after 12 years with the company.
Immediately before joining Concert, Whitchelo was Senior Vice President, Development Services, with Bentall Real Estate Services. Responsibilities in his new position include acquiring existing and developing new industrial and commercial real estate projects. He will also be involved in developing Concert's relationships with major Canadian pension funds, and establishing co-venture or investor relations on major development and infrastructure projects.
