Vancouver, BC, Canada – Concert is pleased to announce that it has won gold in three categories in the 2007 CARE (Construction Achievements and Renovations of Excellence) Awards of Vancouver Island. Concert garnered the gold awards for Best Condominium/Mixed-Use Development, Best Sales Centre or Showroom and Best Customer Service.
“We are very proud to be honoured by the Canadian Home Builders’ Association in Victoria,” said David Podmore, President & CEO, Concert Properties Ltd. “Our team has worked hard to achieve these accolades, which are a reflection of the mark Concert is making in Victoria.”
Concert won the first two gold CARE awards for Belvedere – a 16-storey, mixed-use concrete tower with ground level retail space that is ideally located within walking distance to the Inner Harbour, shopping, restaurants and entertainment. The Belvedere developer also won gold for Best Customer Service.
“As a community builder, Concert is dedicated to bringing quality homes to the Victoria area over the long term,” adds Podmore. “We currently have two new residential developments underway – Chelsea, which is located in Fairfield, and 365 Waterfront in Victoria’s award-winning Selkirk Waterfront Community.”
The CARE Awards winners are selected by a panel of industry professionals using criteria such as unique design, function, creative use of space, compatibility with the environment, energy efficiency, effective land use and cost.
The winners were announced on October 13 at the Victoria Conference Centre. In 2006, Concert received a gold award at the 2006 CARE Award for Best Overall Marketing Campaign for its Astoria development in Victoria. The Marriott Victoria Inner Harbour Hotel, Astoria and Belvedere are part of a three-phased development on one lot by Concert in downtown Victoria.
